TME (SOUTH WEST) LIMITED is committed to achieving Net Zero emissions by 2050.

Baseline Emissions Footprint

Baseline emissions are a record of the greenhouse gases that have been produced in the past and were produced prior to the introduction of any strategies to reduce emissions. Baseline emissions are the reference point against which emissions reduction can be measured.

Emissions reduction targets

Our Current Emissions Reporting Year Scope figures are based on our Baseline Year Scope.

In order to continue our progress to achieving Net Zero, we will adopt the following carbon reduction targets.

We will continue to reduce our business travel for Account Management meetings. We now use Teams, Zoom and Google Meet where we can share screens and use video conferencing.

We expect that the carbon emission reduction achieved by these schemes will equate to a reduction of 2,000 miles in our account management business travel equating to 0.54 tCO2e, a 10% reduction against the 2023 baseline and the measures will be in effect when performing the contract.

Further improvements of our technical helpdesk will reduce engineer call outs and mileage. Based on an estimated engineering mileage of 200,000 per annum, we project and expect that carbon emissions will decrease over the next five years to 1.35tCO2e by 2030. This is a reduction of 5%.

Progress against these targets will be populated in the graph below although the figures are not currently representative of our organisation.

Completed Carbon Reduction Initiatives

The following environmental management measures and projects will be completed or implemented prior to the 2023 baseline.

We have replaced all of our lighting in our offices with LED lighting.

In the future we hope to implement further measures such as:

Introducing electric and hybrid vehicles into our fleet. However, this is dependent on the availability of charging points throughout Devon and Somerset where the infrastructure is not yet in place to support long journeys across these two counties.

We are investigating and hope to attain ISO 14001:2015 in the next three years.

Declaration and Sign Off

This Carbon Reduction Plan will be completed in accordance with PPN 06/21 and associated guidance and reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans.

Emissions will be reported and recorded in accordance with the published reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans and the GHG Reporting Protocol corporate standard and uses the appropriate Government emission conversion factors for greenhouse gas company reporting.

Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions will be reported in accordance with SECR requirements, and the required subset of Scope 3 emissions will be reported in accordance with the published reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans and the Corporate Value Chain (Scope 3) Standard.

This Carbon Reduction Plan has been reviewed and signed off by the board of directors (or equivalent management body).
