Adding Users Step 2
Now create the User's home folder:
- Open the appropriate Shortcut to ... Folders
(See this page if you need
to make shortcuts)
- Find the folder in which you need to make the new
user's home folder
- Right-click in the new window, and choose New ->
Folder
- Change the name of the folder to the name of your new
user
- Right-click on the folder and click on Sharing
and Security... in the menu
- Click on Share as
- The folder name will appear in the Share
name. Click at the end of the name
- Add a dollar sign - $ - to the end of the name (So
fredb becomes fredb$, for
instance)
- Click on Permissions and make sure that
Everyone is listed and that Full
Control is enabled
- Click on the Security tab and make sure that
Everyone is listed and that Full
Control is enabled
- Click Apply and OK
Finally, get the user to
automatically connect to the new folder:
