Adding Programs: Stage 2
Adding the program to the user menu
- Log on as Zak. (We need to choose a program to
practice with. It doesn't matter whether it's already in
use or not, so we are going to use WordPad.)
- Double click on the Pupil Start Menu shortcut. This
opens a window with some other icons in it. One of them
is a folder called Programs. Double click on this to open
it.
- In the Programs folder you just opened, you will see
shortcuts to the various programs the pupils have on
their Start -> Programs menu.
- Now go to the Start button and click on it. Open the
Programs menu.
- Go up to Accessories and go to the right. This opens
the Accessories menu
- Find WordPad on the Accessories menu and click and
hold on it with the RIGHT mouse button.
- Drag the mouse over to the open Pupils' Program Menu
window and release the button
- Choose Copy here from the menu that pops
up
- That's it. When a pupil next logs on, he or she will
get the new shortcut in the Programs menu.
