Remote Management

This depends on your Internet connexion. There are three possible options:

1. Basic. Where the School has no existing link, you will need to buy a modem and ensure there is a spare phone socket near the server. We can supply and set up the modem for £85 exc. VAT
2. ISDN. Where the School has an ISDN wall box with a spare port. This needs an ISDN card fitted to the Server, which we quote as standard where appropriate.
3. Broadband: With a broadband link (SWGfL, true satellite or ADSL), you need no extra hardware. SWGfL require you to fill in a Change Control Request to permit us access. There is a charge levied by SWGfL for this, paid for by the LEA in most cases.

The work we can undertake on your system in the first two cases is very limited. In the case of full broadband, almost as much can be accomplished from Wellington as on site. Consequently, this time is charged against the Support Contract.
