Wireless Networking

There is a huge amount of confusion about what wireless networks are, and what they can do, and how they work. This brief guide is intended to clear up as much of this as possible. English is used throughout. This guide is for users of Microsoft Windows. Apple Airport uses the same technology, but is installed differently. Should you wish to use RISC OS machines on a wireless network, you will need an external unit.

What we won't do here is tell you that we know what you need. The right answer depends on the question. What is perfect in Lostwithiel might be pointless in Bournemouth.
