Sophos Anti-Virus

TME are a Sophos Partner, and have been for quite a few years. We have found this UK company to provide the easiest to manage and fastest antivirus solution around. This section of the site gives some brief information on the products we normally supply to schools.

Sophos Anti-Virus software provides integrated, cross-platform virus detection that is specifically designed for corporate networks. It protects laptops, desktops and servers by detecting, reporting and disinfecting viruses, Trojans, worms and spyware. Scheduled and on-demand scanning is provided by Sophos's powerful proprietary virus detection engine without affecting network performance. In addition, Sophos's patented InterCheck technology optimises on-access virus protection, utilising a unique combination of virus scanning and checksumming to minimise how many times files need to be checked and to keep resource usage low. Sophos Anti-Virus also incorporates powerful management tools which enable centralised installation, configuration, updating and reporting.

We normally supply the software in the Enterprise Manager package.
