How to use this site

Every page on this site has a toolbar on the left hand side. This toolbar is like a set of buttons. The buttons are shown as pictures and words, linking to the systems, networks, links, support contact and help pages on the site.

The picture buttons change in most browsers when you move over them. If they don't change, don't worry. It's just something to make the site a bit more dynamic.

To return to this help page at any time, click the help button on the left.

The easiest way to contact us is to use the info request page. This sends the information straight to our office, and sends a copy of your message back to you for your records.

Tools used to create this site include:

• StrongED: freeware text editor on RISC OS to edit the code
• Revelation Natural Art: superb graphics package for Windows from Logotron
• Axialis IconWorkshop: Windows tool used to create PNG files, which it does very well
• !Paint: supplied as part of RISC OS, used to resize PNGs and remove transparency which IE can't cope with.
• TechWriter: RISC OS wordprocessor, which converts text to clean HTML
• Tidy: available for most platforms, helps to ensure your code is going to work as widely as possible

This site has been tested on Internet Explorer for Windows and MacOS on versions between 4 and 6 as appropriate, Opera and FireFox under Windows, Oregano 1 and 2, Fresco 2.13, Webster, Browse, NetSurf, Lynx, Dillo and ArcWeb under RISC OS.

There is a global stylesheet, which controls the look and feel of the site. In this version (January 2006), the site has been converted from HTML to Transitional XHTML.
